Troop 798 loves its parents!  The parents are the heart and soul to keep the troop running smoothly.  It is the dedication of leaders coming each Tuesday evening to run meetings, parents driving and attending events as chaperones, parents volunteering to be the Magazine sales chairperson or a cookie sales chairperson!  We couldn’t do it without you.

Meetings – The troop meets each Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church of Moore at 7:00 PM.  Daisies and Brownies meet until 8:00 PM and Juniors thru Seniors meet until 8:30 PM.  The troop meets as an entire group in the Welcome Center of the church just outside of the Sanctuary for songs, promise and announcements.  We then separate by groups into the various Sunday School Rooms.  The girls are picked up in their rooms at the appropriate time.

Dues – The troop has semester dues of 20.00 per semester, these are due in September and January of each each. For families that have 3 or more girls the maximum amount of dues they will be required to pay is $80.00 for they year.

Checks: All checks need to be made payable to:  Troop 798

The troop has a troop calendar and can be viewed from the yahoo groups website.  You will need to join the Girl Scout Yahoo Groups to view the calendar….to join, Go to, search for GirlScoutTroop798 and ask to join that group, please put in the explanation box why you want to join the group….Many activities are not for the whole troop and will indicate so on the calendar.  Click here for detailed instructions on how to join the group.

Campouts – The troop attends several campouts a year.  The calendar will indicate the dates.  In April of each year the troop holds a family campout where all family members are welcome to attend, they are usually held at one of the state parks in their group camp grounds with unheated/unairconditioned cabins and a central dining hall.

Empowering Girls In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.

Girl Scout Promise and Law
The Girl Scout Promise and Law are shared by every member of Girl Scouting. The Girl Scout Promise is the way Girl Scouts agree to act every day toward one another and other people, and the Girl Scout Law outlines a way to act towards one another and the world.
The Girl Scout Promise
On my honor, I will try: To serve God* and my country, To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law.
The Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others, respect authority, use resources wisely, make the world a better place, and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
* The word “God” can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending on one’s spiritual beliefs. When reciting the Girl Scout Promise, it is OK to replace the word “God” with whatever word your spiritual beliefs dictate.

Meetings:  Tuesday Nights 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

The troop is called a TROOP GROUP.  We all share the same troop number, however we have 6 levels of girl scouting in one troop.  We meet the same night and perform opening together and announcements, then we break out into individual levels for level programs.
