Children's Ministries

At First United Methodist Church of Moore, there are many opportunities for youth to grow closer in their walk with Christ through fellowship, bible study, mission and worship.

Vacation Bible School

Each year we celebrate Vacation Bible School with a week long evening program for children and adults of all ages. We use Cokesbury curriculum to enrich the biblical knowledge of participants. VBS is typically scheduled for sometime in June or July, and if you would like to see some great pictures of some of our previous VBS's click here.

Summer Programs

During the summer the Education Committee offers a variety of children and family programs. Programs are designed to promote unity among church family as well as provide an educational and fun experience for participants. Programs vary from summer to summer. All programs are advertised through direct mail-outs and The Link, our church newsletter.

Acolytes & Bible Bearers

We feel that it is important for children to participate in the leadership of worship. All second graders have the opportunity to be Bible bearers, while 3rd-6th grade children have the opportunity to be acolytes. Training for these leadership roles is held at the end of each school year.

Annual Christmas Program

Each year, the children present a wonderful performance!
